A Novel Dissolution and Synchronous Extraction of Rare Earth Elements from Bastnaesite by a Functionalized Ionic Liquid [Hbet][Tf2N]

Rare earth elements (REEs) are widely used in high-tech industries and important basic raw materials. Bastnaesite is one of the most minerals rare extraction industry, efficient development it key guarantee for safe supply In this study, a novel method dissolving bastnaesite using carboxyl-functionalized ionic liquid ([Hbet][Tf2N]) proposed. This innovative provides collaborative model with dissolution synchronous during heating cooling [Hbet][Tf2N]–H2O system. process, can be dissolved weakly acidic environment without trouble HF escaping, leaching efficiencies above 95%. During system, ions state extracted into phase due to two-phase stratification [Hbet][Tf2N] aqueous solution. It has been proved that recovery regeneration achieved by back oxalic acid REEs-loaded liquid.
